Smoky Mountain Drives organizes specialty curated, high-performance driving events on the most beautiful roads throughout the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee and North Carolina. We can’t think of a more fitting addition to our community of car enthusiasts than those who are passionate about driving the Great Smoky Mountains – or a better route to show off all your Fikse wheels have to offer.
Fikse is the Title Sponsor for five 3-day events – the Rennsport Dragon Rallies series, MVading The Dragon, and Vettes versus The Dragon – as well as seven 1-day drives throughout the rest of the year.
The drives are designed and led by Josh Vandergriff, a Tennessee native who grew up on famous roads such as Tail of the Dragon, Cherohala Skyway, Blue Ridge Parkway and many more. Josh also owns the famous Dragon Welcome Center, formerly known as the 129 Hub, which is a well-known retail store and café offering Tail of the Dragon merchandise and fresh made burgers and sandwiches.
Smoky Mountain Drives offers organized, multi-day drives that focus on specific brands like Porsche, Lotus, BMW, and Corvette, but they can also schedule private and corporate drives for up to 200 vehicles. Regarding the sponsorship, Josh said, “Fikse has always been a brand I’ve admired. I’ve actually had a set of Fikse FM10s since 2017! I’m excited to partner with them on these upcoming rallies and show Brant and his team all that the Great Smoky Mountains has to offer.”
CEO Brant Gladstone recently returned from attending the June Rennsport Dragon Rally, the largest Porsche driving event in the US, which brought together Porsche enthusiasts from around North America from June 7 to 9. Regarding his experience at the event, for which Fikse was a title sponsor, he said, “The roads in the Great Smoky Mountains are stunning to drive down and I loved every second of the rally. I’m thrilled to be partnering with Smoky Mountain Drives and can’t wait to be back for future events.”
